FEI World Championships Herning, Denmark 2022 - Dressage & Vaulting

Great Britain’s Charlotte Fry produces stunning test to win her first Individual Gold at the FEI Dressage World Championship 2022

Dinja Vvan Liere [NED] took the lead with 79.407% but it was short lived as the crowds favourite Denmark’s Cathrine Laudrop-Dufour and the 10 year old gelding Vamos Amigos, hot off their Team Gold the previous day, they scored an impressive 81.322% to move into first place, but they didn’t stay there long either as the next rider was Charlotte Fry and Glamourdale [GBR] in what was an almost perfect test, they thrilled the crowd, and impressed the judges to score an unbeatable 82.508% and win the Grand Prix Special Individual Gold medal for Great Britain.

They will surely be favourites for the Individual Freestyle on Wednesday evening at the ECCO FEI World Championships 2022.

FEI Vaulting World Championship

The French had the Midas touch at the FEI Vaulting World Championship Freestyle on Day 3

French Star Manon Moutinho on Satiri put in a stunning freestyle, with a total score of 8.963 to take the Female Individual title in another historic moment of the Championships, becoming the first female French vaulter to win gold! Gemany’s Julia Sophie Wagner took the silver and Denmark’s Sheena Bendixa thrilled the crowd when taking the bronze.

In the male freestyle French veteran Lambert Leclezio became the undisputed World Champion, nailing his last ever freestyle, and with it the individual gold, rising French star Quentin Jabet took silver ahead of Germany’s Jannik Heiland.

But the French gold rush came to an end as the German Squad excelled aboard Calidor, lunged by Patrik looser, they scored 8.614 taking gold by just under .1 point from the French team. Switzerland took the bronze medal wrapping up day 3 of the Ecco FEI World Championships 2022.
