Martin Anthamatten and Mayi Errasti are winners in the 2021 edition of Ultra Skyrunning Madeira

The second and last day of the 7th edition of Ultra Skyrunning Madeira brought the new winners of the three races held in the splendorous tracks of Santana.
The MSR - Madeira Sky Race, an event that is part of the Skyrunning World Series, gathered the elite of the discipline to dispute the desired victory in a technical race and spectacular scenery of the municipality of Santana, which pleased many of the participants.
The winner of the main race was the swiss Martin Anthamatten, athlete of the
Adidas Terrex Team, who completed the race in a time of 6h11m23s. The swiss
athlete was always in first place, since the beginning of the race, always keeping the advantage over the second place.
The second place was guaranteed by the Portuguese Miguel Arsénio, athlete from Bifase Trail Team, who after a fierce fight with the third place, the spanish from Dynafit official team - Ricardo Ballester, managed to increase the advantage and guarantee the second place and the "title" of the best Portuguese.
In the women's race, the race was disputed between four athletes, having the
Swedish Johanna Gelfgren dominated in the beginning of the race, but her withdrawal brought the athlete from the Basque Country, Mayi Errasti to the first place, who never let go until the finish line. Mayi Errasti crossed the finish line with a time of 7h16h13s. Second place belongs to Natalia Mastrota, Italian athlete from Team Vibram. Closing the podium was Romanian Oana Mihalcea, with a time of 7h53m41s.
Ultra Skyrunning Madeira is organized by CDES - Clube Desportivo Escola de Santana and had the support of Santana's Town Hall, Regional Secretariat of Tourism and Culture, Madeira Promotion Association, Hotel Quinta do Furão, HPM - Hospital Particular da Madeira and Madeira Rent.
